Trade review 5-20-10

I nailed a few of these big time:

Hits:

BSRC

Gapped down, opening at the low then fell the rest of the way en route to a 31% down finish. Nailed it!

EVPH

Opened at the high a bit up from the previous close. Sold off en route to a 10% down session.

AMRN

I found this long when a lot of other analysts overlooked the play. It defied a 300 point down Dow day to finish green! The breakout overtook 2.50 although it happened after hours and faded, it opened at 2.57 and closed at 2.62. Officially it finished up 5%, but most of that was overnight gap land, admittedly.

KATX

That shadow proved to be an open as this opened a teeny tiny bit down from the previous close then dumped out of the gate. It later recovered, but not before permitting a cover several cents lower. Ended down 2% ish.

LSCG

Nice spike out of the bell from a flat open to shake out the weaker hands, which provided a short entry. Technically, you had to wait until it went green to red to enter, but even that would have banked coin. It closed down over 4%

INWK

I nailed this perfectly! It opened with a big "for sale" sign on it and tanked hard early and fast, en route to a 6% down finish. That morning panic ensured it would close back under 7.45 as predicted. A failed breakout.

Misses:

HAUP

As I feared, choppy and toppy, but it still has no right to sustain this level of  prices, just you wait and see!

AMCG

I correctly called the nice gap up off the hod close and the initial upside price action, but the stock finished red at the end of the day and it tanked from the bell for a few 5 minute candles before getting its hod upside price action. Almost a push, but finish was down over 4% so it cannot be counted as such.

Push:

ESPI

This "pumpish" play finished down over 10% following a flat open and initial upside, followed by fading. I think the green to red move was obvious, but my description was too vague except to be called a push.
