Trade review 5-21-10

I got a couple right:

Preacher and PSF naturally ended up picking the same gimmick play, ticker symbol CZHC which actually WORKED for those buying long from the gun! It zoomed and later faded, but still finished up over 19% although it was under 10 cents per share. Keep in mind the fact that many of these sleazeball promoters have more than one name or subsidiary, which they use for sending out the same junk, so it is hardly surprising. Back in the day Preacher had some nice ones both directions from the bell or some other timed release spot, it is refreshing to see one work for a change, right when I picked it for your entertainment...

Hits:

BFAR

So nice! I hope you got long, as this piece of work really got past 4.50 and kept going on decent volume as predicted. Frighteningly powerful, it did not yield the fade, en route to a 17% green finish.

VIDA

I guess the E-mails are not as persuasive as this weak fundie sporting stock fell over 10% as suspected.

Misses:

LSCG

The little red floater that could, did not. Yes, it closed lower than the open, but not red.

KATX

The beat went back on for this little mover, a red to green scenario which finished long and strong, not giving a fade option.

AKRX

We never got a bounce out this one, and it never properly held 2.80 even though it did reach 2.83 intraday.

HAUP

This is one frustrating greenie, that has no business being so choppy and upwardly mobile. I surrender!

DZZ

Nominally green, but technically a loss as a swing short. Gold should rebound soon in these Bear redux times. You cannot time these perfectly and that is not vital, you just have to get in near the top and hold on. I suggest if in this short to sit tight for a spell within reason, because the trend and conditions are still in your favor.

Totals:

Ouch. One of the only true bad days I have had in picks since the inception of the blog, before or after record compilation began. It had to happen eventually. I am working on producing total statistics for the selections...
