I got a few big calls right:
Naturally Preacher and his evil twin picked the SAME stock as their time release gimmick two sessions running. This helped out a re-pumper LMCO which was revealed to be the secret pick. More on that stock later. Suffice it to say that it was an even better repeat of Friday for the longs!
Hits:
AEGY
Opened with as massive gap up for the buyers of the previous close, as suspected. It dipped to the flat line but still finished green by 10%
BFAR
Weakened from the outset and faded nicely for a great short if borrows were found, finishing down 18%
HAUP
Finally it fell like it should have. I noted any clear penetration of 3.50 support was a short, and it was. It broke that level from the bell and then rallied but failed a test of that number for a nice short entry. It went sideways but broke down in the afternoon into the close, finishing red by 10%
NTMG
Anyone in by the Friday close on this hod play got a great gap, but even longs today were happy as it marched over 0.30 with conviction and ended the day up over 12%
LMCO
As I said, testing 2 bucks was easily in view for this nice promotion, it just marched up all day, aided by the timed release gimmick spam of 2 stock promoters. It probably would have kept going up in any event. While long & strong was the play today, this will probably be a great short soon! Ended up over 21% after gap up.
SFMI
Opened flat, but soon went nominally red to stunning green, faded a bit later but finished up 10%
Misses:
PSWS
It did gap up, but it finished red. It panicked early, recovered, then sold off into the close finishing off 10%
TRGL
Yeah, I must have been crazy. Never think an oversold stock cannot go any lower, doji or not. Even with a cooperative early on Dow, this opened at the high and fell yet again, this time to the tune of 4%
Totals:
Daily record: W-6 L-2
75%
My unofficial picks were worth a mention, too:
ZBB crashed and burned, CEO comments or not. It finished down 24%
VSTNQ soared in the afternoon, providing more upside. It was a gapper that finished up 34%
KERX opened on a gap up, had nice early strength, then faded. It finished down less than 1%
AEHI gapped up as per suspicion, but it was the daily high. Closed up on the day 4%
KATX did not excite the message boards today, finishing down over 6%
FRPT opened at the high, fizzling out in an all day fade, closing down over 9%
BSRC I should have put this on the regular list, proving my ANTS comments right. Already down 2 straight sessions, it tacked on another today, finishing in the red by over 13% Will I ever learn? I hope so!
WOLV never had a chance, opening down and getting the high in the first 5 minute candle, closing off 7%
DZZ I should have put this one on the regular list, too. The swing gave a nice entry short as gold rallied. The ETF closed down in the ball park of 3% This is a new stockfetcher scan I am experimenting with!
