Watchers for the 8-26-10 trading session

FLWS

Selling pressure abated even more today, albeit with an unchanged finish. Still looking to bottom fish this long on early bargain hunting arrivals. One nice thing here is that recent technical support is exactly at 1.65 so if you go long there you can rest easy on a successful entry. Another nice thing here is that a fall below that number may mean even more selling bouts, since that price floor is by now well established, which is a short.

RPRX

This is looking a bit tired and some resistance is on the chart at around 0.69 so I hope to fade this on a failed test of that or go long above 0.70 on a cross with volume and acceleration. Live price action tomorrow will decide the fence sitting here.

ASB

Patent news winner jumped over 73% today, closing somewhat off its highs. I expect possible early spiking (long scalping?) with some fade entry chances on profit taking. The euphoria usually wears off fast in cases like this, but you will just have to watch its behavior to get a read on the herd. Patiently stalk a short here.

CWTR

Earnings surprises like this that feature no run-up into the report usually go a lot higher, this play was ideal if you had caught it today. Might have more for the longs tomorrow or shortly, at least early scalping of spiking. Down after hours, so it might close the gap early if the scalp works out, yielding a possible red to green entry.

SOMX

Fresh off a deal inked with P&G this stock finished well off its highs today. More profit taking may be in store, despite the good news. I would like to see a flat or gap up open yielding a quick fade. A gap down open might go green early and offer some initial spiking for very short term approach minded late long scalpers.

VGZ

Closed on hod. Might have more early for long scalping. I do not trust a short here unless it really weakens and tops out obviously. This has proven to be a very resilient stock with a lot of upward mobility.

PCBC

Like VGZ above, this has some force behind it. Resistance around 1.40 was taken out today. Possible early spiking might yield a long scalp entry. Now that the floor is old resistance, long swings might try to enter on a pull back to that area if the ground holds. See my comments on VGZ for shorting, they apply here as well.

DAKT

Still in play for more moves up, this went no place today. Any take out of 9.30 is a long. 52's are at 9.56 and also are a long on a surpassing of that. Heavily shorted, this might be fueled north by covering. To that end, any early spiking might be a good long scalp entry.
