Trade review 9-27-10

I got some of them right today...

Hits:

CLYW

Absolutely textbook fade here on a morning panic with more gravy as the hours went by, en route to a red finish of over 28% today. The dump came after the haywire initial 5 minutes of the session, so it was ideal.

TWER

An easy play that opened at the hod out of a flat debut, which down trended gradually as the session wore on, en route to a red close of nearly 4% today.

REDF

Finally a decent clean easy distribution day on this choppy stubborn garbage. Early fading which gently continued all day into the close ensued, en route to a down finish of over 6% today. The previous session high never was retested in the process.

Misses:

MGQG

A loss because despite opening at the hod and for a spell going beneath the previous session close, it did not stay there and closed green by nearly 8.5% on the day. Down side moves fell temporarily below the previous session close in a fake out. Volume continued to fall on the latest green print.

Push:

MALL

Another sizable gap up prevented any short entry. Very strong early on. The stock never traded below the previous session close today. It did trade below its opening price and nearly revisited the previous session high, but the ongoing choppy price action was obvious enough for most of my subscribers to remain flat. Green by nearly 7.5% today.

KBLB

Another clear gap up that never fell below the previous session close and looked strong again early, suggesting a flat stance. Daily doji print was a fitting, indecisive choppy finish for the stock. This time at least, it did not open at the lod. Closed well off of the highs but no obvious play ever arose. New spam also hit at the beginning of the day which was a warning to shorts that the party was not over. Up nearly 8.5%
