I got a couple picks right today...
Hits:
ALZM
Gap up open mostly steadily advanced, inching along into the close, which was green by a tidy 16.5% today.
OLDW
This worked out perfectly, opening on a gap up that crapped from the hod. It closed well off of the highs, but still negative by over 17% today.
Misses:
XPRT
This looks like a win, but being as honest as I am, it is recorded as a loss. Gap up open crapped at once, going red nicely. Conservative profit takers might have booked a win, but it rebounded 15 minutes in and went solidly green, which probably stopped out several shorts. It then fell red again and returned green, before diving under for good. A weak close helped it end down nearly 8% today. But the whipsaw hurt.
Push:
CYPW
Aside from the initial 5 minute noise candle, this solidly advanced, giving shorts no chance to enter. By lunch, it went sideways, price action which continued into the close, which was north by over 32.5% today. Gap up.
PSPW
Aside from the initial 5 minute noise candle, this mostly just advanced. Shorts never had a play. It began trading sideways at lunch, and decayed into the close, but that was still green by over 14.5% today. Gap up.
ANIK
The weak market affected this one, but nobody was likely trapped. A gap down open printed one positive initial 5 minute noise candle, then fell at once. It bounced a bit, but stayed negative by over 4% today. A push.
AUTH
Another non-entry. It opened on a gap down, never greening to enter long. Trading sideways for an hour, it began decaying more intensely. By lunch, it traded sideways, keeping that price action up into the close, which was negative by over 7% today.
My unofficial pick CTIC deserves a mention, too. A gap up saw a green initial noise candle, which immediately gap filled. It bounced off the flat line and stayed positive, ending up over 5% today. It closed well under the highs and lower than the open, though.
