Trade review 6-14-11

I did get a few picks right today...

Hits:

BORK

Opening on a gap down, this steadily fell early. It went sideways a while, then a reach for the flat line failed. A weak close ended negative by almost 6.5% today.

RCON

A gap up printed the hod in the 1st 15 minutes, after which it was all down hill from there. A clear entry came on the break under the flat line in the afternoon. It closed off of the lows but still red by over 11.5% today.

JBII

A 1 cent gap up fell from the open, but quickly filled the void to the flat line. Shortly thereafter it went green for the long entry, and held positive. Closed well off of the highs, but still up over 2.5% today. Up 1.5% A/H.

JVA

This red floater worked well for 2nd day down side when a gap down meekly filled and printed a nominal high in the 1st 1/2 hour then fell green to red with a gradual fade that lasted to the close, red over 7% today.

Misses:

BCRX

This looked quite strong early and most longs that took it soon after the open that did not close in the 1st hour lost. It gradually faded back to the flat line and even slightly red, closing just a little positive and sideways.

Push:

ORS

The gap up and noise candle made any short difficult to enter, suggesting a cash stance. It began to decay immediately after that, but only took out the open late in the day and never hit the flat line. It closed strong to end up over 18.5% today but that was also a no play for shorts.

RUTH

An easy long for prospective buyers to avoid, thus preventing losses. Opening on a gap up, aside from the noise candle it began to decay, closing on the high of the previous session on the 2nd one. This slide continued most of the way, and it soon went green to red and holds. Closed a bit above the lows but still south by over 1% today.

Off record picks went as follows: HOUM opened on a modest gap down at the hod and immediately fell, yielding a short entry. It failed to reclaim the flat line on a later attempt and closed negative by over 16.5% today. GBTR opened on a gap up that advanced at once, denying shorts a play, though it did retrace its moves. It closed strongly to end up over 139% today. This shows why you should short weakness, only!
