Trade review 10-10-11

I got some picks right on Monday...

Hits:

HEV

A clear easy win when a gap down open fell steadily from the hod, yielding a red close of over 10.5% today.

CLWR

The long was best if it had arisen, but this gap up crapped from the start, breaking the flat line within 30 minutes. Then it fell under support and 1.30 at which point it became a fade play. This weakness continued, and it closed south by over 8.5% today.

ASIA

Simple win for longs when this consistently traded over the open and previous close/high after a flat debut at the lod. It rose gently all day, en route to a green finish of nearly 7% today.

Misses:

EMIS

A fake out loss for longs after the noise candle as the likely entry point would have been a bit above the closing price. It rose early, but ended weakly, up just a bit over 0.5% today.

Push:

XRTX

An easy fake out loss to avoid when a clear gap up fell on the noise candle, then moved up. It spent most of the day climbing, then faded near the close but could not take out the initial low, bouncing into the close, ending up nearly 4% today.

SMBL

This was either a narrow win on early red to green crosses, or a push on no entry as it only equaled but did not surpass the trigger high given. A clear gap up was the culprit, it closed positive nearly 3% today over it.

PPC

This looks like a win, and it is on paper nominally. But the probable entry just under the previous close early on was probably a break even after commissions. It fell even more before a strong close, but ended down only 0.5% today. Drifting in and out of positive territory, but probably few stop outs since previous highs held.
