Trade review 10-11-11

I got a few picks right today...

A nice red to green from a gap down open near the lod around lunch was a buy. It stayed positive for the remainder, closing north by over 10.5% today.

Longs got their wish on a clean play above the trigger and resistance for the win. An early red to green after a gap down kept positive all day, decaying into the close. It ended above the likely entry, up over 2.5% today.

A nominal win given the share price size and probable entry. A big gap up fell at once, rebounded, then steadily fell to move under the previous close for the fade play. A gradual rise failed to test earlier highs so stops probably held. It closed weakly and ended south by over 4.5% today. The win was smaller, though.

An early and late fake out lost for longs, when it closed weakly and likely under the entry point. It spent most of the day in negative territory, but closed unchanged relative to the previous close. Still a loss, though.

A gap down filled and led to a red to green move. This fell back under the flat line, but it was likely a tiny loss after commissions are calculated in given the share price size. That would have been a cent or so above or exactly at what it closed at when it advanced into the finish to end negative by a tad. Closed above the open.

Big gap down a cent above the lod rose out of the open, ruining any shorting option so a flat stance beckoned. This rose gently on low volume until the close, positive by nearly 2.5% today. A no play push.

This looks like a win but it's a push. It missed its trigger by at least a cent, despite closing positive by over 2% today. An early red to green mostly held, but it was a no play according to my entry preconditions.

Daily record: W-3 L-2-P-2
