I got some of these things correct today...
Hits:
BTX
A perfect play for shorts on over extension. A gap up fell right at the open with the hod printing on the noise candle. It panicked under the flat line for the fade entry. It bounced and moved sideways by 30 minutes in, but stayed negative into the close, down by in the area of 6% or more.
CECO
A clean win for longs when a gap up fell after the noise candle, but subsequent ones retook the opening price and its high for the entry or just the open for more aggressive traders. Both ideas won. A long slow climb began and it closed up over 9% today.
SRZ
Another gap that easily held the trigger on the test for an entry after the noise candle. It slowed its big moves up after 30 minutes in, but gradually rose into the finish, up over 9% today to win for longs.
COT
A very narrow win likely for longs after a gap up fell out of the gate and reddened a bit. It slowly climbed back over the flat line to green, then in the afternoon it triggered, with an entry likely 2 cents under the eventual finish. It closed weakly, losing 10 cents in the final 30 minutes but ended up over 1.5% today.
Misses:
INSP
A fake out loss for shorts when this flat open rose out of the open, greening nominally. It then fell back under the flat line and the open for the entry. But soon after it gradually rose and greened solidly, ending up close to 2% today.
IGXT
Another fake out loss for shorts this time when a gap up moved sideways initially, before falling under the flat line and opening price level for the entry after the noise candle. But it soon recovered and hit the flat line and moved steadily above it into the close, which was positive by around 10% or more today.
Push:
OCN
A no play for shorts when a gap up fell initially, but failed to pierce the flat line for the entry with confirmation. It only was under the open on one candle before getting back over and never looking back. It stayed positive with sideways price action into the close, up in range of a bit under 1% today. A push.
