I got a few of these things right today...
Hits:
REE
A clear win for shorts on the 7 fail. Only the noise candle greened, then it was all down hill. Once it crossed below the above level and certainly the previous close, it was a fade entry. Closed red by over 10% today.
TA
A modest but clear win when a gap up at the hod fell at once. It then rose but eventually traded back under the open for the fade. A weak close helped, ending affairs down by over 3% today.
GRPN
A very slight win after commissions when a clear gap up advanced after the noise candle. A late morning pull back entry also won for longs, when it eventually returned to earlier highs. Closed up over 4.5% today.
Misses:
BDSI
An unfortunate fake out loss on a gap up that fell on the noise candle. Shorts would have entered on the next on, trading below the open and the previous close. But it rebounded to and over the flat line after some sideways trading, eventually closing up over 0.5% today.
CTESY
Another fake out loss when this traded under the open after the noise candle early on. But a red to green move near lunch followed. It weakened near the end, but still closed north by over 32% today.
Push:
BVSN
A no play push as this opened near the hod and fell out of the gate. It eventually rallied to and clung near the flat line, greening into the close. But the gap up and price action forbade longs. Closed equal to the opening high, up over 3% today, but that was on the exit candle, which also printed the hod.
WAVX
A significant gap up which never triggered prevented shorts. It rose early and fell in the afternoon until near the close. It ended up over 1.5% on a no play push.
Off record pick LCAV worked well enough on the 6 fail. The noise candle fell, then rebounded to and over the flat line. The entry was on the fall back under the above level. The initial high held, and it soon fell under and closed south by over 4.5% today.
