Trade review 3-2-12

I got some plays right on Friday...

Hits:

TBET

A win for shorts when a gap up fell on the noise candle, going red. It continued to fall, yielding a fade entry. Gentle decay ensued all session, en route to a red end by over 6.5% on Friday.

IMUC

Save for the noise candle, this gap up and go mostly advanced all morning, yielding a trigger long. It went sideways and down late morning, before closing strongly and up by over 6.5% on Friday.

GA

This worked on a trigger from a flat debut as it rose from the start and all morning. It kept creeping up all day, closing positive by over 6.5% on Friday.

Misses:

ALIM

A gap down rose from the gun, but after greening and heading back under the flat line twice, the likely entry point for shorts was about 1 cent under the close. Factoring in commissions, a slight loss was probable. Now, later on it fell a lot so many shorts actually banked. As it recovered, it moved sideways in the afternoon and only really got close to even near the end, closing down over 1% on Friday. Arguably a push, too.

Push:

BARZ

A flat debut from the lod advanced from the gun, not giving shorts a chance. The flat line held, and it also moved sideways later on, en route to a green end by over 10.5% on Friday.

PCS

A no play push when a gap down never filled, much less triggered. Mostly sideways and down price action followed, resulting in a red finish of nearly 3% on Friday.

HUSA

A gap up fell from the noise candle, so longs were no faked out. The flat line held, but so did the initial high. It faded again into the close, though the gap held, and it ended positive by over 3% on Friday.
