I got a few plays correct on Friday...
Hits:
MTL
An easy win for longs when a gap down began to fill within 10 minutes of the debut. After going green, it continued to climb gently most of the way, en route to a positive finish of at least 3.5% on Friday.
ATPG
A gap up near the lod moved up steadily, yielding a long. It closed on the hod, up almost 49% on Friday. A home run call here by Big T!
GMO
Another near perfect call when a 1 cent gap down rose initially, then tested and bounced right off 3.25 for the long. It hung to the flat line most of the way, closing strong and up over 1.5% on Friday.
Misses:
PCRX
Shorts were faked out again when a gap up began to redden an hour in, falling under the open and the previous close. It headed back green shortly after, with another flat line challenge after lunch that essentially held. Then it rose strongly into the close, ending up over 2.5% on Friday. A loss.
TPGI
A fake out for longs was possible here when a gap down gradually filled and greened, and closed over the new annual highs price in the early going. Near lunch it fell red for good, recovering gradually into the close to end down over 1.5% on Friday. A loss.
Push:
HRG
A gap up a cent above the lod rose out of the box slowly but surely, never giving shorts a play. It closed a bit off the highs but still positive by over 2.5% on Friday. A no play push.
ACFN
A gap up fell from the gun, not a good sign for longs. It rebounded about 10 minutes in, and eventually nearly triggered, not going over it and doing so only briefly. Then it fell at once to red and never recovered, but longs were just barely spared from a fake out. A no push that ended down over 2.5% on Friday.
Off table pick ROSG again did not win a 10 test, peaking exactly on that and closing down over 5% on Friday. A steady decline ensued from the open, with the noise candle printing the hod of 10. No fake outs!
