I got nearly all of these things right today...
Hits:
CRME
A win for shorts when this gap down rose just after the noise candle to fill, then decayed back to and under the open for the entry.This continued all session, en route to a red end of over 10% today.
HOV
A narrow win for longs after this gap up rose after the weak noise candle, making more new annual tops for the entry early. It soon peaked and retreated a tad, moving sideways until a strong close ended it up over 4% today and likely above the buy point.
MIG
Another big win for longs when this flat debut from the lod slowly rose all session, yielding an early long. It ended up almost 6.5% today.
VNR
Another decent win long when this flat debut rose mostly following a nominally weak noise candle. It ended up over 1% today and early longs would have entered under the final price sufficiently.
SBH
Another win for longs when a flat open fell on the noise candle and early on, but rebounded to above the debut price and even greened, yielding a buy. This kept rising most of the remainder, ending up a bit less than 1% today but still a likely profit after commissions.
LIVE
The fall fail back under 5 worked like a charm here, when a gap up fell from the hod and reached for the critical psychological level above and failed there, heading down gradually all session from there, yielding a short at least by the time it traded under the open and initial low. Ended down almost 18.5% today.
Misses:
KKD
A likely fake out loss for longs when early moves up after the noise candle yielded a buy. It peaked within 45 minutes and headed back to the flat line. Hugging it, it then moved gradually under, ending red by a bit less than 0.5% today.
