I got some of these things right on Friday...
Hits:
AMPL
A win for shorts when a gap down not far from the hod fell on the noise candle, then rose steadily, peaking in an hour and then closing under the opening price for the entry. It gently declined the remainder, closing south by over 12.5% on Friday.
BOSC
A nominal win for shorts when a gap up top hammer printed on the noise candle, then opened under the flat line for the entry. It moved sideways most of the way, holding the gap line and closing weakly except right at the end, finishing south by over 3% on Friday.
Misses:
WGO
A possible fake out loss for longs when this gap down rose not too far from the lod on the noise candle. It kept going, with an entry likely no better than even with the eventual close, up at least over 0.50% Friday so with commissions it fails.
SCHW
Some shorts could have been faked out here when a clear gap down fell after the noise candle under the opening price. It immediately bounced but held the flat line and again fell a bit under the open. But then it advanced slightly and moved sideways, closing south by almost 1% on Friday.
KGC
A fake out loss for longs likely when this gap down advanced steadily early on, triggering. It peaked in an hour and then fell back to the flat line, essentially holding it and closing down nominally on Friday.
Push:
KTOS
A no play push for potential longs as a gap down fell from the hod and never triggered. It rose soon after the noise candle, and traveled sideways much of the way, closing down almost 2% on Friday.
ELOS
Another no play push when a gap down not far from the hod fell initially, then moved sideways for hours. A stronger close ensued, but did not ever trigger for longs. Closed red by over 0.50% on Friday.
