Trade review 5-14-13

I got some plays right on Tuesday...

Hits:

MULI

Shorts won when a gap down rose initially, then sported a perfect afternoon fade to trigger. Falling consistently after lunch, it ended down 37.5% today.

ALIM

A great long after a gap up debut from the lod rose on the noise candle, then gradually rose and took out the initial high. It kept going, eventually closing up over 22% today.

Misses:

VVR

A gap down near the hod fell out of the debut after the noise candle. It slowly decayed until late afternoon, by which time several shorts could have sold shares. A sharp rise into the close ended it almost unchanged.

IVAN

Fake out possible long on the gap up above the trigger which advanced after the noise candle, too. It fast peaked then decayed slowly back to the opening price area, closing up over 4% but likely under entry.

LEDS

Fake out loss likely when a gap up slowly advanced, closing above the trigger long by lunch. It soon gradually fell back to the flat line, closing down over 1% today.

VRML

Possible fake out loss long when a flat debut rose on the noise candle, then made new highs on the follow up stick. It reversed at once and even broke under the flat line and 2.50 so some prudent shorts might have banked, but most probably bought. Ended down almost 2% today.

Push:

MSSD

This slight gap up advanced from the start, not giving prospective shorts a play. Peaking early, it moved sideways, then down and finally up a bit into the finish, which was up over 12.5% today.
