Trade review 7-3-13

I got some plays correct on Wednesday...

Hits:

PTRC

A gap up slowly fell beyond the noise candle, yielding a short. It continued, closing red by over 3% today.

POLR

A gap down fell early under the trigger for entry short. It bottomed late morning and closed above the lows but still south by over  7.5% today.

Misses:

KVPHQ

A fake out loss possible when a gap down fell on the noise candle, then rose. But it retraced and fell under the initial low late morning, before slowly recovering to end red by over 6.5% today, ending above the entry.

LPTH

A fake out long likely when a gap up advanced after the noise candle. Trigger entry at best lost on commissions when it peaked early and decayed the remainder, closing up over 6% today but below entry.

BPFH

Another fake out loss likely when a gap down rose on the noise candle but reversed right after to trigger fade on the fail under 11 early. It reversed to the flat line, closing nearly unchanged on the day.

Push:

MTL

A no play push lacking a trigger long when a gap down rose initially but essentially held the flat line. Then it slowly fell, closing down over 5.5% today.

FXEN

A gap down failed to trigger long when it fell early, then rose to just over the flat line. Closed up less than 0.50% today.
