Trade review 8-28-13

I got some of these things right today...

Hits:

SVM

A win for shorts off a gap up debut that moved sideways and a hair up initially. Late morning it moved sideways and a bit down, then triggered in the afternoon, closing weakly and red by over 2.5% today.

PRGN

A winning long when a gap up debut rose from the open to trigger by candle 2. Peaking in an hour, it moved sideways for hours, then down a bit in the afternoon, closing green by over 11.5% today.

Misses:

GGS

A gap up closed over the trigger twice early, sucking longs in. It slowly fell a bit from there, closing just under the trigger for a loss, up over 1% today.

UNXL

A fake out loss for shorts when this gap up fell from the noise candle and after to trigger. It soon bottomed, then moved up and greened for good. It closed off the highs, but up over 2% today.

Push:

QFOR

A large gap down prevented shorts. It moved sideways a bit, then up to green. Then it moved sideways the remainder, closing up over 8% today. No play.

KTOS

Except for the noise candle, this advanced steadily early, denying shorts any play. It peaked in the afternoon, closing off the highs but still up by over 4% today.

PERY

The hod printed on the noise candle on this gap down debut, which fell after that and did not trigger for longs. Ended down at least near 2% today. No play.
