Trade review 9-17-13

I got a few plays right on this day...

Shorts won when this gap down fell steadily from the open and afterwards. A bounce easily held the flat line, and it resumed decaying in the afternoon and into the close, which was down almost 11% today.

A gap up fell early, moved sideways and gradually up to green and trigger long. A strong close ended it up over 2% today.

A fake out loss short likely when this gap up fell initially, triggering. It soon bottomed, steadily rose and even greened, ending up over 3.5% today.

A big gap down discouraged shorts, though it soon fell after open, ending down over 9% today. No play.

A no play push when a gap up moved sideways along the flat line until late morning, whereupon it advanced steadily, ending up over 35% today.

Looks like a win on paper, but most all potential longs would never have entered with this price action. A flat debut fell steadily from the start, and only late afternoon did it rise, greening right at close, up over 4% today.

Longs likely kept flat with this price action. A gap up fell initially, later rising to hit the trigger exactly but only during lunch, and that candle closed under it as well. A slow decay followed, and it ended down over 1%.
