Trade review 1-12-11

I got some of these things right...

Hits:

CHTL

This played out perfectly. Opening on a gap up at the hod, a green to red followed. It tanked nearly from the outset and kept up even declining into the close, which was down by over 16% today.

HNHI

More perfection and easy money. This opened flat at the hod, then dived in panic with volume at once. It never saw greening and moved sideways into the close, which was negative by over 16.5% today. 'Gangsta rap never sounded so good!

CRED

Opening on a gap up, it fell initially to nearly fill the gap as suspected, going red in the first 5 minute noise candle. It soon went red to green and advanced over most of the day, retreating late and finishing strong to close up over 2% today. Patient longs were rewarded here.

TSON

Red day arrived as predicted. Opening on a gap down, it began to falter at once, then traded sideways most of the rest of the way until accelerating down into the close, which was red by over 3.5% today.

Misses:

CWNR

Nothing played as I outlined. Longs did not really get a viable spike, and shorts could not easily fade into the second 5 minute candle after the first on had too much range. It never fully recovered, finishing south by nearly 18% today. The volume on the distribution side also did not match my criteria.

FRZ

It finally had 2 good days running. It did not sell off at 3.50 either. True, the ceiling quoted more or less held, but timing a top on this was not easy given how it played out. Kept green until the close, which was up by nearly 8% today.

Push:

EEE

Opening on a gap down, it fast went green, probably not fooling any shorts as the lod was printed in first useless 5 minute noise candle. Once it greened, it never looked back, closing positive by 14% today.
