Trade review 3-17-11

I got some of them right today...

Perfect play. 2nd red day on the Supernovae pop. It fell at once and a quick rebound was another short entry that never went above the open. The gap down open near the lod fell the rest of the way, en route to a negative finish of over 36% today.

Gap up open near resistance quickly took that out, and kept going. An easy win as this closed green by over 18% today.

Gap up open that printed the lod in the initial 5 minutes. It retested it and never fell under the previous session close, only equaling the daily one today. It gradually rose and traded sideways into the finish, which was green by over 8.5% today.

Gap up finished well off the highs by a late decay, but it still finished positive by over 3% today and the initial lod on the daily remained intact. Early exits booked more, but it worked out well enough.

Most probably did not lose on this play, which opened on a big gap up suggesting a flat stance. But later it took out the open after initially falling under, which could have faked out some longs. It fell back under the opening price and fell all the way to the flat line, before closing negative by less than 1 half of 1 percent.

This is arguably a win, but I will take a loss. The bounce early did arrive, but it was short lived and it did not spike as I outlined. The move was clear but tepid. It slowly faded, even touching the flat line, before a strong close helped it end green by over 1.5% today. It closed lower than it opened, so it was lost in the gap up.

Not a surprise, it kept moving up. Shorts never had a chance as this moved up from the gun, fast greening. It kept up the beat, en route to a positive close of over 10.5% today. I said to keep flat at this point on that.

Daily record: W-4 L-2-P-1
