Trade review 8-4-11

I got one of these picks right today...

Hits:

HEARQ

Opening flat, the hod printed early after it moved sideways and up. The stock fell to the flat line and stayed unchanged for hours, before falling under for the fade entry. It returned green, but beneath the daily high so stops probably held. A weak close ensured, ending down over 1% today. A likely win of peanuts as the probable entry would have been not much above the closing price.

Misses:

CBOU

A gap down went red to green in the morning, faking out longs. But the fun did not last. It dipped negative and returned a bit green, before falling back under for good. A slide all afternoon followed as it closed south by over 4.5% today.

HYC

Another fake out loss as this gap down open zoomed green an hour in. It did not last. After peaking and sucking some longs in, it fell steadily back below the flat line and never recovered. Ended red by over 6% today.

Push:

SAPX

A gap down filled, printing the hod on the noise candle, but could not get past 1.50 after opening below the hopeful floor. After an early test, it just decayed all day, closing south by over 23% today. Longs never had a play here.

GST

Opening at the hod a cent over the previous day's close, it fell at once with the high being on the noise candle. Longs had no play. It fell under the flat line rapidly and kept decaying all session. Closed down over 10.5% today.

HOLI

Huge gap up negated a possible long entry. It predictably crapped at once, the high printing on the noise candle. After the panic dump it fell under the flat line and never recovered. Red close by over 5% today.
