From a gap down, this began to weaken immediately. It challenged the flat line and failed, yielding a short entry. Subsequent tries failed more convincingly, and it continued to drift until the close, which was red by over 12.5% on Friday. The likely entry point was north of the finish enough to assume this was a winner.
SHFL
A gap down tried to fill early on and failed, yielding a short entry when it began to trade consistently under the opening price level by lunch time. It continued to slide in the afternoon, closing down over 6% on Friday.
Misses:
CIIC
A loss on a fake out when this continued to dive after the noise candle, albeit briefly. The 2nd candle began to reverse off of the lows but still closed negatively. It rose the rest of the way, soon greening and even closing up over 20.5% on Friday.
Push:
HST
Big gap down never filled or triggered, so no entry existed long. It dove most of the remainder after the open, and closed negative by over 5% on Friday. A no play.
SPRD
Another sizable gap down opened under 19, so entry long was out. It never triggered, and an early rally failed to close the difference. It waned most of the way, closing south by nearly 4% on Friday. Another no play.
GERN
Once again no trigger. It could not hold over 2.80 by 30 minutes in. A gap fill try on the noise candle failed. A slow decline followed most of the day, and it closed negative by over 9.5% on Friday. A no play.
GRO
A clear gap up that advanced from the gun prevented any short on this budding over extension play. It closed off of the highs but still green, without a fill of the space. Up close by over 8.5% on Friday. No play to fade.
