I got some picks right on this day...
Hits:
MEG
A near gap and crap close to the hod made for a perfect short. Once it crossed the flat line it was a fade entry. It fell until the afternoon, when it rebounded a bit and closed off the lows but still red by over 16.5% today.
RAYS
Another clean win as this opened on a gap up near the lod and steadily climbed for an hour. Then it moved sideways into the close, up over 3.5% today for patient longs.
AAR
A gap up from near the lod moved up steadily, closing north by over 13% today for longs.
VDSI
A home run, but the big gap up might have discouraged many buyers. It opened at the lod though, and moved up all day after the big green noise candle. Once it retook the open and the high near the end, it was at least a small win. Positive close by over 27% today.
AIBYY
Another home run! A gap up at the lod on this potential 1.00 B/O advanced steadily, en route to a green finish of 15% today.
Misses:
SMTX
After opening flat, this moved sideways and began to head down, going red. The likely entry point was about even with the close. It's likely a nominal loss after commissions, a push at best. Closed south by at least nearly 1% today.
Push:
SPNC
The good news is few if any longs would have been fooled here. It opened on a big gap up near the hod which also printed on the noise candle, that closed quite negatively. Then it moved sideways and not enough to take out the open, much less the original high. Closed positive by nearly 2.5% today, mostly lost in the gap.
