Trade review 11-10-11

I got a few picks correct today...

This worked a like charm for shorts. A gap up printed the hod early and it rapidly fell hard below the open and flat line for the fade entry. It continued to drop the rest of the way, closing south by over 23% today.

A win on a gap up and near crap when it traded under the open after the noise candle. Probably a bare win after commissions on the flat line cross. After down side peaking in the afternoon, it recovered into the close, but still ended south by about 1% today.

The noise candle greened, then it hugged the flat line and steadily advanced, yielding a long when it traded over the open early morning. On paper it red to greened, and it kept advancing all session, closing up over 7% today.

This one hooked shorts in when it opened on a gap up from the hod. It fell under the flat line by the time the next candle appeared following the noise one. Then it faded all day under the afternoon came, when it slowly rose back up and even greened. Ended positive by less than 1% but green just the same on the whip saw.

Opening near the hod and falling at once, this failed to trigger at any time for longs. It was red by the 2nd candle and never recovered, so longs obviously kept flat. It continued to flounder all day, en route to a red finish of nearly 3% today.

Another clear no play when a gap down filled on the noise candle and kept going, greening at once with retreats essentially holding the flat line. Then late morning near lunch it took off north and continued to advance, closing strongly up over 5% today. Shorts never had an entry set up.

Also a no play. A flat open near the lod advanced out of the gate, denying shorts any chance to enter. It kept positive all session, going sideways into the finish, up over 11% today.

Off record pick LSTG looks like a win on paper, closing south by 3.5% today. But shorts had no easy entry here due to the price action sequence. Opening flat at the hod, it fell red at once, but the 2nd candle was a greenie despite containing the low. It meandered up and down and could only retest the bottom before advancing to close the gap in the afternoon. A weak close helped it end red, as described.

Daily record: W-3 L-1-P-3
