Trade review 11-18-11

I got a few plays right on Friday...

A gap up and near crap that printed the hod on the noise candle went green to red an hour in and never regained the flat line. Shorts banked on the cross as it closed weakly south by at least 9% on Friday.

Another gap up and near crap, this one double topped early and headed down under the open, and then below the flat line for the fade entry. It rebounded and even modestly greened, but the initial highs and therefore most stops held for shorts. An afternoon fade and a weak close ended red by over 5.5% on Friday.

Another easy modest win for longs, when a 1 cent gap up crossed 1.50 on the noise candle, then on a print under the flat line, it went red to green to hit the trigger again. It essentially held the flat line from there, losing a lot of ground on sideways moves into the close, north by over 2.5% on Friday.

A sizable gap up began to fall at once, then rebounded, never triggering and staying above the flat line. A gradual decline ensued and it triggered with about an hour to go, sucking shorts in. Soon after it rebounded, nominally greened, then closed weakly and barely red. Factoring commissions or not a small loss is clear.

A no play when this flat open intended for a bounce printed a red noise candle. The 2nd one nominally greened but ended under the open. The next one got over briefly but ended under as well. Soon it fell under the flat line for good. It moved sideways all day into the close, which was negative by over 1.5% on Friday.

A big gap up and crap from the hod prevented fake outs for longs. After falling all morning, it crossed the flat line by lunch and never recovered. Moving sideways into the close, it ended red by over 2.5% on Friday.

A huge gap down that tried to fill and failed after the noise candle prevented a long which also did not trigger. After the rebound, it gradually declined all day, closing weakly and down by nearly 19.5% on Friday.

Daily record: W-3 L-1-P-3
