Hits:
AEN
A modest but clear win for shorts when a gap down tried to fill and failed.It gradually declined, heading under the open in the afternoon for the entry. A weak close ensued to end the session south by over 16% today.
MTG
A clear win for longs as a gap up and go mostly steadily advanced, trading above the open after the noise candle. It moved sideways with an upward bias most of the way, closing up over 10.5% today.
Misses:
GRPN
A few scalpers made money at the start, but it was not much of a spike. It head faked early to draw longs in, then headed down steadily, going green to red. It returned to the flat line, but not much more, heading down in the afternoon and closing weakly, to end south by over 9% today.
NLST
Another fake out for longs when this big gap up advanced early following a weak opening candle. It soon traded above the opening price level, but not for long. Peaking an hour in, a slow decline began. It closed weakly as well to end positive by over 4% today but below the open. All the of gains were lost in the gap.
Push:
NVIV
No trigger or play here as a flat open from the hod fell out of the gate. It could not retake the flat line and headed down steadily most of the day until the end, but still ended south by nearly 12.5% today.
ALIM
A gap up and near crap fortunately did not fool any smart longs. It fell early after the noise candle steadily, going green to red in the afternoon for good. Closed south by over 1.5% today on an obvious no play.
TAT
A win was spoiled by a hefty gap up here. It fell out of the open from the hod for an hour, but shorts had no safe play, obviously. After nearly closing the gap, it advanced, then moved sideways most of the way, closing up by over 4% today. That was all lost in the gap. No trigger arose.
