Trade review 2-10-12

I got a few picks right on Friday...

Hits:

LLNW

A modest win for shorts when a clear gap down rose from the open after the noise candle, but peaked just below the flat line and began to decay, soon dropping under the open for the entry, and then 4. Closed red by nearly 3% on Friday, and probably a bit under the entrance point allowing a modest win.

HIMX

After initial modest greening, this fell first to and then under the open and the flat line, yielding a fade. It continued to stay in negative territory all day with sideways movement, ending down nearly 2.5% on Friday.

Misses:

MOTR

This looks like a win on paper, but it's a loss. It decayed post noise candle, drawing shorts in. Then it reversed and greened, though it changed course again back under the flat line. It continued to decay, but in the end it closed either about equal to the probable entry point, or above it. Either way, fades lost. Closed down nearly 5% on Friday.

JDSU

Longs were faked out Friday when a gap up advanced after the noise candle over 14. It did not last, soon falling back to the opening price levels. Another rise gave longs a chance to exit with profits, but if they did not they witnessed a drop by lunch and in the afternoon that ended positive only 1%ish and likely under the entry.

Push:

CDCAQ

A gap down at the lod advanced from the start, denying shorts a chance to participate. It hung around the flat line all session, en route to an up finish of over 1.5%on Friday.

LNG

A gap down began with a doji candle, and the underwhelming high and no more yearly ones, was put in on the 2nd one, which closed under the open. Then it began to decay. A rebound failed to green, and it moved sideways the remainder en route to a red finish of nearly 2.5% on Friday.

ZLC

This gap down moved sideways out of the open and then down, failing to trigger. It recovered a bit, closing off of the lows, with a 1 candle spike later on that peaked a cent under an entry point but closed well below. It drifted down into the close, which was south by over 3.5% on Friday.

Off table picks IPSU was a great red to green move over 6/holds for the win long that ended positive by nearly 11.5% on Friday while THLD opened on a gap down near the hod and fell nicely, ending south by over 3% for shorts on Friday to win. I should have put both of these on my official list, LOL.
