Watchers for the 2-10-12 trading session

CDCAQ

Volume keeps declining on the buy side but it advanced almost 3.5% today. Still in play and see my previous comments for entry/exit/trade management angles. Stops above today's high or the initial 30 minute one for tomorrow, as applicable. Get out on reversals, it's been a squeezer.

MOTR

First red day Supernovae. Finished down less than 6.5% last time, so more down side might be in the cards. If it had fallen much more than 10% then less could be expected as plausible. Always watch day 2 of a busted one. The plan is to play for more reddening on day 2. Conditional entry. A flat, nominally green or red open that immediately sells off on heavy volume or sports traditional confirmed weakness cues is a fade entry. Keep flat on high volume greening or strength, especially early. This is modestly likely given the medium red result of Thursday. Avoid entries as a short on big gaps up or down, but down is probably worse. Keep flat on consistently strong price action, like trading above the opening price level after the noise candle. Avoid spike up long scalps, too. Selling volume was modest, range bigger, mixed signals for new shorts.

JDSU

This is still in play with analysis essentially unchanged from last time, looking for a B/O over 14 and holds. advanced a bit over 0.5% today but did not trigger. Down a tad A/H so a possible early red to green, etc.

LNG

New 52's. Short term, these yearly high stocks usually go higher. Consistently strong price action, like trading above the opening price level after the first 5 minutes, is a long. Or, if it gaps down a bit to debut or opens flat and falls briefly, a red to green and hold with strong volume. Also long on spiking up at or near the gun as a scalp. This might be an EOD exit, depending on how it holds up. Also long on a break above to new yearly highs (over 14.64) and holds. Avoid shorts/big gaps keep flat on true weakness. Volume strong Thursday, a poor sign for new buys. Needs to keep above the Thursday close or at least over 14 on pull backs to remain viable as a long, aside from any early noise. Nice daily chart price correction move and B/O over 13.

LLNW

Red floater scan return. Idea is to play for more, real down side on day 2. Ended up a bit over 2.5% on Thursday via a gap up that closed below the open after mostly up days. Stops just above 4.15 to cap losses on head fake fade entries. I'm only into the shorting possibility if it surfaces, keeping flat on strength. Also a short on heavy volume dumps/confirmed weakness cues. Big buy volume on Thursday which means it may have good chances for shorts. Avoid all big gaps, especially large gap downs. No longs. +1% A/H.

ZLC

B/O scan. I like it long back over 3.07 and holds. Ideal to stay over that on tests aside from early noise if it triggers. Stops also possible just under the close on Thursday or the 1st 30 minute low of Friday. Avoid all shorts and all big gaps. The low on Thursday is not too far away to use for risk managing stops. Also a long on spiking up at or near the gun as a scalp. Modest volume on the rise, a fair sign for new buys. Exiting below 2.90 on fails after trigger entering might be prudent.

HIMX

Bearish Engulfing. I like it short below the low of Thursday. Small volume on the drop, which is a good sign for new sellers. Keep flat on real strength aside from a typical green to red move, etc. Stops just above the high last time or the initial 30 minute one on Friday. More conservatively a stop placed above Thursday's close, too. The high on that day is probably too far away to use for risk control via stops. Ideally keeps under 1.75ish on any pull ups to remain viable as a short. Avoid all big gaps/longs.

Off record, IPSU is in play both ways, as an early r/g long over 6/holds off a weak open, or on a test/fall fail back under 6/holds. Live price action will determine. Almost made my regular list. THLD might yield another down day, but it looks like messy consolidation is possibly  ahead, so it was not on my official play set.
