I got a few picks correct on Friday...
Hits:
KIRK
An easy win for longs when a gap up reddened on the noise candle, then rose. After getting over the initial high, it was an entry. Inching up for about an hour, it moved sideways the remainder, en route to a green finish of nearly 3% on Friday.
LOOP
A clear gap up advanced including and beyond the noise candle. It was soon a long entry. It pulled way back but climbed again near lunch, then moved sideways into the close, positive by nearly 2% on Friday.
Misses:
CDCAQ
A fake out loss for shorts when a gap up advanced a tad early, then fell below the flat line. A fade entry arose. It continued to dive a bit before reversing course, greening, and moving sideways in the afternoon, closing up over 8.5% on Friday.
AFFY
Another fake out loss when a gap up advanced on the noise candle, then dove. Soon it fell under the flat line for an entry, and declined until late morning, when it reversed course and greened. It clung to the flat line most of the day until a strong close ensued with it ending north by over 2% on Friday.
ALIM
Longs were faked out and probably lost a tad (factoring in commissions) when a gap up fell on the noise candle, then rose, triggering early. But it peaked in 30 minutes and began to decay, soon trading sideways above the flat line. This looks like at least a push, but the entry point would have been about what it ended at, which was positive by not much more than 3.5% on Friday. So the cost of the trade makes it a loser.
Push:
DWCH
This rose from the gun, not giving shorts an entry. After going solidly green, it pulled back to the flat line and a hair under, but that was meek and did not continue to drop. It fast moved back over the gap and stayed there, moving sideways until it ended up less than 2% on Friday. A no play push.
GLUU
A gap up printed the lod on the noise candle, then rose at once. A gradual climb followed, denying shorts an entry. It peaked late morning and began to decline, but could not take out the earlier lows or redden. It finished up nearly 3% on Friday on a no play push.
Totals:
Daily record: W-2-L-3-P-2
40%
