Trade review 2-9-12

I got some of these plays right today...

Hits:

MOTR

A narrow win likely here as a 1 cent gap down fell under the open after the noise candle. It rose back up and a bit over but could not continue to rise, falling back under and failing on later tests. A slow decay followed in the afternoon, and it closed south by over 6% today and likely a bit under the entry point for shorts.

LFVN

A perfect short when a gap up near the hod advanced briefly whereupon it dove under the flat line for got and the short entry. It steadily fell the remainder, closing south by over 9% today.

SONC

A gap up near the hod fell under the flat line on the noise candle, it continued to redden, yielding a short.

HK (formerly RAM)

Once the symbol changed today, it picked up right where it left off for longs and advanced after the noise candle, triggering. This continued most of the day, en route to green finish of over 10% today for buyers.

Misses:

CDCAQ

A clear gap down which may have scared some shorts off, appeared to panic after the noise candle, drawing some of them in. But it reversed immediately, rising to the flat line and beyond. It closed up almost 3.5% today.

CBK

A 2 cent gap up stayed above the flat line and eventually triggered, yielding a long. It could not advance appreciably, then closed at around the likely entry price. It was a loss with commissions. Up 2%+ today.

Push:

JDSU

A flat open that missed triggering narrowly. It ended up over 0.5% today and was a no play push.

Totals:
Daily record: W-4-L-2-P-1
