I got a few picks right on this day...
Hits:
PDS
This worked for a nominal win. A gap down fell on the noise candle and after rebounding, it fell under the open for a fade entry. It recovered and overtook the flat line but not the previous session high so most stops held given its proximity. A weak close south by over 1.5% today followed, which worked for shorts.
BWOW
This gap down went sideways out of the gate, then rose and greened. Showing the value of not entering too early, it began to fall back to the flat line and was a short on the cross under. More down side followed then a lot of sideways movement into the close, which was south by over 6.5% today. A modest win, but a winner.
Misses:
ALTI
A fake out loss on a gap up and near crap. It kept trading under the opening price level after the noise candle, but soon bottomed. A gradual recovery followed, then a strong close to finish down close to 2% today but the probable entry point was below the finish for shorts. At the least with commissions it is a bare loss.
SAPX
Another fake out as this gap down fell under the open after the noise candle. It fast bottomed after a likely short entry and even greened. After going sideways near the flat line most of the day, it closed south over 2.5% today. The likely entry point was for shorts was below the finish, despite its reddening.
AMNL
Opening flat, this dumped from near the gun. It gradually recovered and even greened, but late in the day. Since it made more annual highs some longs could have been whipsawed as it did not hold. It moved sideways most of the remainder, closing down about 0.5% today. This is almost a push, but I'm honest.
Push:
TLAB
Another no play which fell from the gun and never triggered. It just steadily dumped all day, en route to a red finish of over 9% today.
LLNW
Still another flat stance situation as this failed to trigger. It fell steadily, too, en route to a down close of almost 8.5% today.
