Hits:
STEM
Mission accomplished on day 2, as this gap down fell on the noise candle, held the flat line a while, then cracked under for the fade. It rallied a bit after an hour, moving sideways into the finish, but still ended south by over 6% today.
CNMXF
Another win as this gap down advanced initially, then cracked under the flat line. It rallied, but stayed under the gapper and closed weak, to end south by over 15.5% today.
BONE
Another big win for longs as this gap up from the lod advanced out of the gate, peaking around lunch. It moved sideways the remainder, closing up over 17.5% today.
JDSU
Still another decent win for longs as this gap up not too far from the lod held up all session, the flat line never breached. It closed on an upswing, ending positive by over 3% today. A typical entry was modestly green.
Misses:
AFFY
Possible fake out losses for shorts at various points when a gap up rose initially, then fell under the open and the flat line a few times. It hung around there all session, closing up a hair. A loss with commissions probable.
Push:
ANTH
A sizable gap down hindered any entries. It rose also out of the open post noise candle. It peaked in 15 minutes, then decayed back to around the open. Sideways and up moves followed, and it closed down over 12% today via the gapper on a doji like print. A no play push.
NVDQ
A big gap down a cent above the lod discouraged any entries. It filled, but could not get much over the flat line or for long. By 1.5 hours in it moved sideways the remainder, closing red by 2% today. A no play push.
Off record pick PPHM was a nice short after a 1 cent gap up open at the hod, closing down over 4.5% today, while the other one daily doji printed, up a cent 0.5% today. It could still see a move up Friday.
